CHARMINAR WALK

HALF DAY – 9AM – 1 PM
This tour gives you the entire range of experience from the Qutub Shahi times to today. It begins at the old Municipal office which is soon to be renovated at the Interpretation / Orientation centre and leads you through Azha-Khana-E-Zehra, Dar-Ush-Shifa and the Purani Haveli palace, all set along the Itebar Chowk road. The walk continues through the Mir Alam Mandi wholesale bazaar and the vegetable market into Patthargarhi, the formal bazaar street leading to the Charminar.

The walk turns off this axis at the Gulzar Hauz junction framed by the Char Kamans or gates of the formal paradise garden that existed here during the Qutub Shahi period. This walk, then leads you through the crowded lanes behind the Sher-E-Batil Kaman amongst small workshops producing bangles and Zari work emerging at the Laad Bazaar, famous in antiquity for its pearl and diamond shops and now for its bangles & bridal wears.

The walk concludes at the Charminar upon exiting from the magnificent Mecca Masjid. The walk is 3.3 km in length and will take about two hours of time.

Cost : Rs. 2200 plus taxes (currently @ 2.575%) per person.
