Moving on to the Raj Rani Templewhich is made from the wonderful red and gold sandstone, is said to hold the “ 'Guardians of the Eight Directions'”, The next stop is the Mukteshwar temple dedicated to lord Shiva. The splendid Torana of the temple, an ornamental arched gateway, is reminiscent of the influence of Buddhism in Orissa. Parsurameshwar is the best preserved specimen of an early temple datable to the Sailodbhava period (7th/8th Century A.D). Your Tour comes to an end at the Brahmeshwar temples. The temple is said to be a fine specimen of innovative and mature Orissan style of temple building.

Halt at Konark a popular tourist destination, though the waters are deceptively calm. Its main attraction lies in its views of the temple famous for the Konark sun temple. The entire temple was designed in the shape of a colossal chariot with seven horses and 24 wheels, carrying the sun god, Surya, across the heavens.

After the visit to the temple, drive further on to the old & traditional city of Puri.
